An Introduction to Botanical Distillation
The fat take
This workshop will focus on the techniques and best practices for creating potent hydrosols, or floral waters. Together we will harvest fresh aromatic plants and go through the process of distillation using both a traditional copper still and with a simple at-home method. We will talk about the unique benefits of hydrosols for use in skincare - as well as touching on their aromatherapy and culinary applications. There will be the opportunity to sample a variety of hydrosols, each participant will take home a 2 oz bottle of hydrosol and a farm-grown floral bouquet from Foxtrot.
Learn more about the what, how, and why of hydrosols here.
Workshop is Saturday June 29th from 10 am to 1 pm at Foxtrot Flower Farm, 6862 Route 82 Stanfordville NY 12581

Natural Abundance
Nature provides! We formulate our products based on what’s in season and in abundance, prioritizing plants that are local, fresh, potent–and never at risk.
Caring for the Body
Self-care grounds us. We believe plants and rituals have the power to connect us back to ourselves, our environment, and our greater community.
